Shelter and basic Family support for families in Kurdistan Iraq

Since a few years a number of Coptic Christian families sought work opportunities in search of safety and stability. A small community of such displaced families has taken refuge in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, where they are currently sheltered in caravans within the yard of the Coptic Church.

Project Summary

Since a few years a number of Coptic Christian families sought work opportunities in search of safety and stability. A small community of such displaced families has taken refuge in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, where they are currently sheltered in caravans within the yard of the Coptic Church.

The project objective is to provide essential monthly support to 20 displaced Coptic families currently residing in temporary shelter (caravans) on church premises, ensuring their basic living conditions, dignity, and wellbeing.

Project Needs & Budget

Monthly provisions are urgently needed to cover food, clothing, hygiene supplies, healthcare needs, and utility costs for the caravans. The initiative seeks to uphold the dignity of these families and ensure no one is left behind in hardship.

A modest monthly budget is required, averaging USD 250 per family for three months, totaling USD 750 per family for 20 families. Annual support would amount to USD 15,000.

Partnerships

St. Antonios Charitable Society and the Coptic Church are seeking committed partners to help fund and sustain this vital support program. Any contribution can make a direct and meaningful difference in the lives of displaced families living in vulnerability.
