Health and social Services Kuwait

The Coptic Church in Kuwait has long been a spiritual and social support pillar for its community, particularly for Egyptian expatriates who arrive in the country in search of employment. Many of these individuals come with limited financial resources and lack access to adequate medical coverage.

Project Summary

The Coptic Church in Kuwait has long been a spiritual and social support pillar for its community, particularly for Egyptian expatriates who arrive in the country in search of employment. Many of these individuals come with limited financial resources and lack access to adequate medical coverage, especially during their job-seeking period. Without employer-sponsored health insurance or government support, these individuals are vulnerable to both physical and financial hardship when health issues arise.

The main challenge is that these newly arrived Coptic Church members in Kuwait, especially jobseekers, often face significant challenges in accessing essential healthcare services. Many arrive without formal employment, rendering them ineligible for private insurance or employer-funded medical benefits. This leaves them exposed to health risks and prevents early diagnosis or treatment of illnesses, further complicating their employment opportunities and well-being.

The main project objective is to establish a sustainable support mechanism that covers the basic medical and health-related expenses of 1000 Coptic Church members residing in Kuwait who are currently unemployed or under financial stress due to their job-seeking status.

Project Support & Objectives

St. Antonios Charitable Society, in collaboration with the Coptic Church in Kuwait, seeks financial and logistical support from friends and partners:

  • Fund essential medical treatments, doctor visits, and emergency care for vulnerable church members.
  • Provide subsidized or free health screenings for early diagnosis and prevention.
  • Establish partnerships with clinics and healthcare providers for discounted services.
  • Set up a temporary health support fund managed by the Church’s charity committee.

Partnerships

St Antonios Charitable society and the Coptic Church are seeking partnerships with faith-based networks to raise funds for this initiative in covering 1000 men and women.
